Day Care Program For Alzheimer's and Dementia Patients
Alzheimer's and Dementia Patient Daycare at Kipling Manor is a daytime program which provides health care and supportive services to Alzheimer's patients and those with Dementia in a structured and supervised environment. We strive to:

 Promote the individual's maximum  level of independence.
bullet
 Maintain the individual's present level  of functioning as long as possible, 
   preventing or delaying further deterioration.
bullet
 Restore and rehabilitate the individual to his/her highest possible level
   of functioning.
bullet
 Provide support, respite and education for families and other care givers.
bullet
 Foster socialization and peer interaction.
bullet
 Serve as an integral part of the community service network
           and the long-term continuum. 
Kipling Manor offers an individualized plan of care to meet the needs of each participant. Participants attend on a scheduled basis, and services may include the following :
  1. Nursing care and health monitoring by full-time
    licensed personnel.
  2. Group and individual activities.
  3. Balanced meals three times a day plus, morning and afternoon snacks.
    Therapeutic diets as indicated.
  4. Recreation, exercise, and assistance with activities of
    daily living.
  5. Services that match participant's needs and community resources.
  6. Services of beautician.
  7. Scheduled transportation can be provided.

Program Hours and Transportation

Day Care is available seven days a week , 9 am - 5 pm.
The participant's schedule and transportation need are arranged at time of interview.

Staffing

Program staffed by nurse, certified nursing assistants, personal care assistants and full-time activities director.

Admission Requirements

A wellness assessment, upon signing up, by the program director to determine eligibility and appropriateness for services.
Physician's recommendation relative to admission to the facilities
and arrangements for continued medical monitoring.
